Reverse: A large "10" above a line. FORINT below the line. A small "BP." mint mark. Beaded circle around the rim.
Mint Mark: BP.
Composition: Copper & Nickel Clad Steel
Edge: Alternating Grained and Plain.
The Republic of Hungary, was Austrian until 1918.
The Forint's name comes from the city of Florence, Italy, from 1252. Between 1857 and 1892, the Forint was the name used in Hungarian for the currency of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The Forint was reintroduced August 1946, after the inflation of the pengő.
