A blast from the past, this is a fine example of formals or prom dresses worn in the late 60s and early 70s. This sleeveless beauty has a scoop neckline in front and back. The lace overlay is open in the front. It is fuller and gathered in the back to provide a drape effect the gown. A tiny ribbon at the front accents the opening. This is an empire waist floor length prom or formal vintage gown. The gown itself has two layers, a swishy nylon/taffeta/acetate type layer and the outer lace layer. The lining or inner layer is a medium yellow. The outer lace layer which is the same as the outer open overlayer is white with yellow and white flowers. There is a satin ribbon layer at the empire waist.
A 16 inch zipper with hook and eye provide back closure. A paper tag is still on the back seam. Style # 1800 Size 7. There are a couple of tiny holes in the outer lace layer. They are undetectable from more than a foot away. Even then, it has to be held up to the light to see them. It is in fine condition.
This is pre- owned and is in very good condition. Has a few minor small holes in the outer lace layer. Not noticeable unless held up to the light I do try to describe each item to the best of my ability. I note any flaws or defects that may not have been original to the item.
