eMachineShop's - professional Computer Aided Design (CAD) software allows to design in 2D and 3D. Easy uncluttered interface yet powerful. This free CAD software not only lets you design objects but you can actually have your parts made! Price and order your parts instantly via the internet. The software provides immediate expert design analysis of objects made by milling, turning, punching, laser cutting, wire cutting, extrusion, thermoforming, plastic molding and more. To design a part, users download eMachineShop's free CAD software. During the design process, eMachineShop's machining expert analyzes the shape, material, and finish to keep the user informed of any machining limitations - making it easy for both engineers and non-engineers to successfully design parts. A 3D preview helps visualize the final part before ordering. The instant design feedback and pricing allows users to ask unlimited "what if" design scenarios to optimize cost. Once the design is final, the part is ordered through the eMachineShop CAD software. Finished parts are sent to the customer anywhere in the world.
PCB123 -provides a complete system for designing printed circuit boards. It lets you draw a schematic and generate a net list. It also lets designers create their own symbols and component packages on the fly and has over 145,000 design symbols included. You can transfer your design into this utility and your parts are automatically placed and the board outline is generated. You can then batch route your design or use the developer's
point-to-point router. The price of your board is calculated in real time as you configure
your board. When you're ready to purchase your Circuit Board, you can generally have it
shipped to you within a few days.
JustCad - is designed, to make cad drawing as simple as possible. To draw any object, simply click on the screen or snap to an existing object, move the cursor in the desired direction and enter a distance. To change an angle setting for any function, simply click on it's display box and enter a new value. Draw confined to an angle or free cursor with a simple click on the display. Define an Associate, hatch or multiple line by drawing the desired pattern, select it, enter a name and enter the prompted for reference points. Edit multiple objects with a few clicks on the screen. There is no setup for each drawing. Just draw. When your drawing is finished, select all or a part of it, click on the print menu, enter a scale and print.Drawing tools include, line, 2pt. circle, 3pt. circle, 2pt. arc, 3pt. arc, curve, ellipse, point, polygon, linear dimension, radial dimension, angular dimension, leader, text place, text edit, associates, hatch, multiple lines, ortho on/off, (3)arrow styles, (dimension in feet and inches, feet, 3 place inches, 3 Place Meters, 3 Place Centimeters, 3 Place Millimeters, Comma Metric), unlimited layers, (8) line widths, (5) line styles, blank line, snap to (point, object, midpoint, percentage, intersection, perpendicular, tangent) and more. Edits include, break, trim, stretch, copy, radial copy, concentric copy, move, rotate, fillet, 3pt. rotate, 3pt. radial copy, change properties, scale, erase, (undo and redo 40,000 operations).Utilities include, Measure distance, measure area, measure angle, total length selected,(2) circle tangent line functions, insert text file, import and export dxf format files with true dimensions and save black-on-white bitmap.
Alibre Xpress - supports assembly modeling, with assembly constraints, exploded views and interference checking. It includes measurement tools and a physical property calculator. The main drawback to the assembly module is that it restricts the number of unique parts that can be saved in an assembly.
Detailing and 2D drawing are very straightforward and include the automatic generation of 2D drawings of parts and assembly models. Like other products, Xpress supports bidirectional associativity. If changes are made in the model, the drawing updates, and if the drawing is changed, the model updates. There are ISO and ANSI templates and GD&T symbols. The drawing module also supports redline markups, though the tools are very rudimentary.
Xpress is easy to master, especially for users already familiar with other parametric solid modelers. For 2D users interested in transitioning to a parametric modeler, the Help system and tutorials provided are extremely helpful. Though you won't find advanced modeling tools for sheet metal, wire harnesses and the like, the tools provided work amazingly well. I was also impressed with how fast Xpress runs, even on my slowest computer.
DesignWorkshop - 3D designers can quickly and easily sketch out spatial ideas in three dimensions, then develop them quickly and easily using flexible CAD-accurate editing, alignment, and snapping functions. Then automatic texture-mapping and real-time QuickDraw 3D rendering with lights and textures bring your design visions quickly to life. This process is so fast and easy, you really do have to see it to believe it.
The unique DesignWorkshop modeling environment is based on a live 3D crosshair, so you can model in real perspective space, using natural click-and-drag style editing to create, resize, and reshape walls, roofs, openings, etc.
CadStd- is a general purpose, easy to learn CAD/drafting program for creating professional quality mechanical designs, house plans, blueprints, schematics and charts utilizing ANSI drawing standards. The Lite version is free and can read any drawing created by the Pro version. CadStd Lite can export files as DXF so you can share your drawings with friends who have other CAD programs like Autocad. The Pro version can create isometric projections from orthographic views, and has powerful commands like offset, trim, fillet and chamfer. Export drawings in formats like DXF, SVG, HPGL/1 or use copy clipboard to paste images into Office and other applications. Import DXF, HPGL/1 and Gedcom files.
If you need to create drawings you can be proud to show a client, a city planning department, a government agency CadStd (Cad Standard) is your best kept secret. People will think you spent hundreds or thousands of dollars to create such a drawing. A recent customer wrote : "I have bought a number of other programs, primarily for 3d graphics...but continually come back to this great program for every project requiring drawings."
ProgeCAD - is an IntelliCAD based CAD software is an AutoCAD alternative. DWG native CAD, works with DWG version from 2.5 to 2006, export and import DXF and DWF. Based on IntelliCAD 6 source code, is a complete 2D and 3D CAD system with all the main functionalities. Free registration is required to use the program.
FreeCAD - is a basic 3D CAD with advanced motion simulation capabilities. It is suitable for anyone interested in learning 3D CAD and motion simulation for free before using more sophisticated packages. Educators, students, and new engineers will find it ideal for the teaching and learning of geometry, kinematics, dynamics, vibrations, mechanisms, linkages, cams, machine design, and physics.
A9CAD - A general purpose 2-dimensional CAD program. It supports industry standard DWG/DXF drawing formats. With A9CAD you can draw shapes such as line, rectangle, circle, poly-line, text and dimension; performing drawing modifications like move, scale, rotate, explode, trim, fillet and mirror; edit color, fill mode, line type and line width; change entity attributes via properties window. Manage drawing styles and settings and configure drawing environments.
ModelPress - System provides a mechanism for publishing 3D files to a web-ready format, as well as a flexible, visualization application that can be embedded in other desktop applications or in web pages for web-delivery and viewing. ModelPress Publisher reads native 3D CAD model files including SolidWorks 2003 and Inventor 6. Publisher then compresses the model assembly, creating a secure, non-editable ISF file that is viewable by the free ModelPress Viewer. ModelPress Viewer views the highly-compressed ISF files created by ModelPress Publisher. It can be a standalone desktop application or be embedded in another desktop application; or, it can be embedded in custom web pages to be a web-delivered control. Designed to work with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher.
