It is fresh, off-white, and original. It has not been processed with chemicals. The women who make this butter are also getting a fair wage because of the suppliers, like us, buying only Fair Trade. Before, they work 30 hours to get less than a dollar. Now, they get fair money for their long hours to get this shea butter from the nut of the Karite Tree. They can take care of their families.
It's not yellow, because it is untouched, so the tribesmen didn't add the root that makes some shea butter yellow. It is so good for the skin and the hair. It helps heal rashes and lubricates the skin. The slightly nutty smell goes away about 5 minutes or so after you put it on. And it melts in your hand.
Get it while it lasts ! Stock it up ! Did you know that shea butter is so safe that most of it is imported to the US to use in candy ? The African people actually use it to cook in. So don't hesitate to use it on dry, chapped lips--or on your little ones. And, don't go out in the sun without it either--the sun damages your skin.
