SHIPPED FULLY COOKED AND READY TO EAT TO TEXAS ADDRESSES ONLY AT THIS TIME.
Dry packaged recipe for you to make in your own home is available to all U.S. locations.
This is my specially developed birdie bread with three or more nutritious grains, nuts, fruits, and food that parrots absolutely love.
I have adapted my recipe from one used by a famous bird authority but is more appealing, healthful and easy to digest.
The ingredients in the fully cooked recipe are:
Jif or Skippy peanut butter
(they have been tested for aflatoxins and have a very low amount over health food stores peanut butter)
Organic baby food, 4 different flavors
Sweet potatoes, Green beans, Pears, Peaches as examples
6 eggs for protein
Mashed bananas, 3 in each batch
Several rolled grains, Wheat Germ, Flaxseed, Oat bran, Milled wheat, Irish groats, etc.
Rolled grains, oatmeal, oat groats,
Sunflower seeds, raw unsalted
Dried banana chips
or other dried and fresh fruits
Nuts: A variety of:
Raw spanish peanuts
There is no flour, baking soda, baking powder etc. in my birdie bread. The other ingredients are what holds the squares together, and are easily dispensed by adding to the food dish.
Each batch of Parrot’s Delight Birdie Bread is made with the freshest ingredients, promptly frozen to protect ingredients. The squares are approximately 1” square and about 1” deep. They are wrapped carefully to arrive safely to you by priority mail. As soon as you receive them, refrigerate immediately to maintain freshness. 4 lbs per container.
We recommend that you supplement a good pelleted diet with fresh greens, fresh fruits such as grapes, peaches, cherries, plums, pineapple,..whatever is in season. I take out the pellets and dispense for the evening meal, a few springs of broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, for the greens and add a few pieces of fruit and top it off with two pieces of birdie bread. This gives your bird a variety of nutrients needed to maintain good health and prevent the bird from being overweight.
There are a number of things that you should never feed your bird. Avacadoes, dairy products, as well as a list of other items that are extremely harmful for your bird. You can obtain more information regarding feeding at www.fluffies.org as well as good information on training and care of your bird.
