Vintage 1940s 1950s Red flared Skirt white pleated Blouse No. 9
You could wear this Swishy, pleated, feminine, beautiful vintage skirt anywhere. This is a cute little outfit that was probably worn in the 1950s or 1960s. The blouse is a Penny Potter Original with a blue Union Label. It has two layers, a chiffon outer layer and a semi sheer nylon lining. A slip or camisole might need to be worn. Rolled nylon creates a high rounded neckline with a back snap and buttoned closure. From the shoulder seam to the cuff of the short sleeves there are several rows of pleats. Very coool. The short sleeves have a small cuff. Side darts in front and vertical darts in back provide a tailored fit. Small pleats cover 3/4 of the front from the neckline to the waist. At the top of the pleated section are two small bows and a stitched set of leaves. The outer pleat at the waist is tacked to make the blouse look thinner there. This is a fine blouse. The blouse's particulars are:

SKIRT: This is a really phenomenal skirt evocative of the 50s and 60s. The red skirt has two layers. The top layer is pleated nylon chiffon. It has a 7 inch metal back zipper. The bottom layer is swishy satin taffeta type material. It is cool and swirly. The skirt does seem to have some alteration made to it. There is a different colored satin in one section of the waist. It looks like the waist was made larger by about 3 inches. There is a soiled area by the hooks and zipper on the back of the skirt. Possibly from the hook or zipper. The measurements of the skirt are as follows:
This is a pre- owned skirt that is in very good condition. The waist has been enlarged. I do try to describe each item to the best of my ability. I note any flaws or defects that may not have been original to the item.
