The Optimeter magazine booklet, 12 issues including July, 1939, Aug., Sept., Oct., and November, 1939, and including January, 1940, Feb., March, April, May, June, and July, 1940. These booklets were put out for Morris Mortuary, successor to Sprinker Mortuary, in Newton, Kansas. Inside the July, 1939, magazine it says “It has occurred to us that a little magazine, such as this, conveying a message of cheer, inspiration, and wholesome humor, would be relished even by those who do not know us intimately – and incidentally, would lead them to realize that we, too, are keenly interested in all that makes for a good and cheerful and happy life”. This appears to be the theme of this series of “Optimeter” magazines. Each booklet is about 20 pages, including the front and back cover. They each measure about 6 ¾” by about 5”. The 12 issues are in very good vintage used condition, with a tiny bit of yellowing and spot or two of very minor staining.
