This Bolivian specialty coffee is 100% Arabica,
shade-grown in the higher altitudes of the Yungas
region, washed using pure Andes glacier-melt
water, sun-dried on wooden table tops and hand
selected by "Palliris" (Aymara Indian women food
graders). It is also Fair Trade Certified and
Organically grown. Special measures have also
been taken to be certain that the growing and
harvesting methods used to produce our coffees
are bird friendly as well. This coffee is grown over
4000 feet above sea level.
Picked by hand only at the peak of ripeness, these
arabica beans are processed with care and
meticulously graded and separated by bean size
and density. All of the world's great coffees are
100% arabica, but only the top 10% have fine
enough flavor to be selected as specialty coffee.
Bolivian coffees are often described using terms
such as "Bright, Lively Cup, Delicate balance of
fine floral and fruit."
