The pieces I'm listing now are the extensive collection of a very talented lady in Tulsa who loved Christmas and decorated enthusiastically for many years. She has moved into assisted living and had to dispose of many of her treasures. I am helping to find them good homes!
What has impressed me most is how meticulously she kept track of her tiny treasures as she added them. Each piece is noted with the date she bought it on the bottom (you'll see this in many of the pictures) and then recorded carefully in a loose-leafed notebook.
She bought many pieces new but a great many more of them she found at estate sales in the area...which means they pre-date even the date she gave them. This explains why some of the things I'll be listing I've found to be quite in the vintage category!
Where I have been able to find information on issue dates (especially on the houses) I'm including that; if you collect these pieces you may know far more than I do!
What I've found in putting these items together is that I have overlooked a very, very charming part of the joy of decorating for Christmas...I've been delighted...and chuckled... and oh'd and ah'd...as I've sorted through them!
I hope you find something here you've been looking for, or something you'll fall in love with, and the traditions this sweet lady enjoyed for so many years will continue to bring happiness!
This is simply the cutest...a tiny log cabin with a place inside for a candle or tea light, a thatched roof and a selection of snow covered trees outside. Sign on the house says "Christmas Trees" and sign in the yard says "trees for sale."
The crowning touch is a tiny string of Christmas lights for a clever marketing approach.
House removes completely from the base; it appears to be unused. It measures 7" x 4" and is made by JSNY.
This looks like a piece that you'll really enjoy setting out year after year!
