Up for your consideration is a circa 1891 Richards & Hartley Glass Co. vaseline glass compote in the "Three Panel" pattern, consisting of three button pattern panels separated by three double bar panels, with the panels also having a zipper pattern and every other circle having a star. This compote measures approx. 3 7/8" tall, and 7 3/16" across. This antique is in very good condition. There is a small linear indention about 3/4 of an inch (not a gouge nor a crack) on the inside bottom of the pedestal that does not show from the outside but can be felt. This bowl glows a brilliant green under a black light. This is one of the few patterns known to have not been reproduced.
My mother passed away last January and like myself, was a collector of vaseline and carnival glass. This was one of her prize pieces. Sadly it carries to many memories for me to keep it. It is my hopes that another loving collector will give it the home it so greatly deserves.
