This bench is constructed based on several midwestern Amish benches I've owned over the years. Taking the best of each example, I created a long (just over six feet) bench seat with a slatted back and slight curved arms. It is a sturdy piece made entirely from reclaimed Butternut, left 7/8" thick from standard 4/4 rough lumber. The piece is mortised and pegged together throughout and finished with my own hand mixed stain and then three coats and hand applied oil/poly mixture.
Shown with and without a seat cover throw it makes a beautiful wall piece that can be used for seating at one of my farm tables. Piece can be built in lengths and other appropriate woods such as cherry, walnut or a number of other re-sawn barn beams - cost will vary however based on the availability of woods.
Shipping is available, the price quoted in the listing is approximate and I'll need a destination before I can quote a final price.
