This is a great piece from a quantity of glamourous clothing I found at an estate sale for a woman who had been both an avid collector and entrepreneur with shops in the southwest. Most of the clothing had been stored for some time; just about everything survived well.
This is a beautiful petticoat made of cotton by Komar and is a size small. It's in 3 wide tiers, each one with an insert for beading...the tiny ribbon is long gone but replacement would be simple. The bottom tier has a lace edge as well. The cootton has a tiny off-white floral pattern to it for textural interest.
The elastic has long ago lost its vitality and needs to be replaced. The waist measures 17" across lying flat, the second tier is 19" at the edge. Overall the petticoat is 30" long so it would be perfect for those longer full skirts. The petticoat is in splendid condition and with a little bit of TLC will be ready for a whole new life!
