Antique Victorian 1893 Trade Card Arbuckle Ariosa Coffee advertising. This advertising card features Poland and has a wonderful vibrantly colored lithograph showing charming children playing a favorite Polish game of hoops, and beautiful couples dancing. There is a man spearing fish from a boat, and a picture of a boar, which was a favorite game animal in Poland. This advertising trade card was from a series of cards giving a pictorial history of the sports and pastimes of all nations. The front is marked "Painting Copyrighted 1893, Arbuckle Bros". The back has an advertisement for Ariosa Arbuckle Bros. Coffee, and discusses that "it will pay you well to keep a small coffee-mill in your kitchen and grind your coffee". There is a section with historical information about Poland, and the Polish people's love for dancing, spear fishing, and hunting boar. Also, the card discusses the Harvest Home national festival, with children playing hoops. This antique Victorian trade card measures about 5 inches by 3 inches. It is in very nice condition, but has some minor edge and corner wear, minor creases or bends, and some stains and soil.
