The F4 Phantom was something of an icon in the Vietnam War. It represented a change in air doctrine that favored stand-off missile engagements as opposed to traditional dogfights. The F4 did not even have an internal gun for most of the war until the "E" variant was deployed. This made the air war over Vietnam problematic, as the Rules of Engagement (ROE) for most of the war precluded long-range engagements beyond visual range.
This 1:32 scale model has an authentic "weathered" appearance, as if it has logged many flight hours. It also includes:
* Pilot and RIO
* External Fuel Tank
