Vintage Valentine fold out fan greeting card that was die cut. This charming Valentine folds out into 5 sections that each have wonderful lithographs of Victorian children in the heart at the top, and spell out the phrase "Token of Love" when you combine the lettering in the 5 middle sections. I am guessing that this was from Germany (?), but I don't see any mark to verify this, so I can not say for sure? Each fan section has 2 small slits that I believe probably used to have a ribbon threaded through to hook them together, but this ribbon is gone. The 5 sections are not attached at all up by the hearts, or by the letters. They are only linked together by the little braided cord at the bottom. Each of the 5 sections of this unique vintage Valentine measures about 6 1/2 inches in height, and each section measures about 2 3/4 inches across the widest part of the heart. When spread out, the fan is about 11 1/2 inches across. It is in very nice condition, but it is not perfect, and it does have a little wear and tear on the edges and curlicues. There are a few stains and soil, especially on the back (photo).
