This slender Leaf pin is quite artistically done in its imitation. The color is very unique - a silvery bronze - and it has a single, deep red, prong set rhinestone at the very tip. The back has an early safety clasp. This elegant, antique piece is in excellent condition and was most likely made during the war years between 1941 and 1945!
During WWII, rhinestones were scarce as most were imported from Europe and the war interrupted this trade. Jewelry with single rhinestones were common during this time and this piece is a fine representation of that era.
*Typical age-wear. It is VERY RARE for vintage/antique jewelry to entirely escape the tolls of time. :(
