The DCS-6620 Internet Camera features motorized pan, tilt, and optical/digital zoom, giving you greater remote viewing options. With a 10x optical zoom auto focus/auto iris lens, get greater clarity and more detail from your recordings than digital zoom alone. Optical zoom lets you identify people, license plate numbers, and other important details that are difficult to clearly view with digital zoom.
With support for both Motion JPEG and MPEG-4 recording, the DCS-6620 is well suited for various recording scenarios. Motion JPEG is better for critical monitoring, since data file corruption only affects specific frames of the video. MPEG-4 delivers smaller file sizes, making it more useful for continuous recording or for low-bandwidth networks.
The DCS-6620 Internet Camera also utilizes D-Links 2-Way Audio feature with its built-in microphone. Attach a speaker to the DCS-6620 and remotely communicate with subjects near the camera. An ideal location to use the 2-Way Audio feature includes point-of-entry areas, where you might want to identify a person before granting access.
With the ability to record video in low light settings, the DCS-6620 can provide exceptional nighttime surveillance. Extreme low light sensitivity of .05Lux lets you distinguish remarkable detail in near total darkness.
You can remotely monitor your camera using a web-based interface, or through D-Links IP surveillance software. IP surveillance lets you monitor and manage up to 16 cameras at once. Set recording schedules, configure motion detection settings, and change settings to multiple cameras using the license-free IP surveillance software.
