Well, I guess HUDD would be described as one of the first surfing visionaries.
If there was such a thing as a surfing competition back in his day I'm sure he would have been renowned. I say that because he was truly one of first pioneers who Understood the pertinence of a short buoyant paddleboard for maneuverability. Surfers got use to that damm Hudd riding his short black little paddleboard and then making bottom turns under their big old redwood plank surfboards.
But as Hudd would state in his words
" I just loved riding under the soup"
Riding under the soup would imply in today's lingo, (making a bottom turn at the peak and getting locked in)! 8"x 11"
