This approx. 24 1/2 x 36" Movie Item:

JOHN AND MARY / U.S. Commercial Sale Graphics Art Poster -~ 20th CENTURY-FOX ~ Film Release & Poster Mfg: 1969

This striking Movie-Logo poster (one of several great images designed to promote the film) is in EXCELLENT condition. It has has always been ROLLED - never folded. There are small thumbtack holes in the four corners, a light diagonal crease at the bottom right corner and minor, light surface wear. With deep, rich black / orange / yellow / pink "day-glow" -type colors. It's printed on glossy poster-stock.

This poster uses the vivid, characteristically-70's psychedelic / pop art poster colors to highlight the great close-up likenesses of the film's two stars DUSTIN HOFFMAN and MIA FARROW - two of the hottest stars of this era. The film's logo is featured at the bottom and original poster-logo text at the top reads: "DUSTIN HOFFMAN is JOHN" "MIA FARROW is MARY"

JOHN AND MARY , an attempt to portray the changing moral and social values of the Hip 70's, also stars MICHAEL TOLAN , SUNNY GRIFFIN , STANLEY BECK , TYNE DALEY , ALIX ELIAS , MARIAN MERCER , OLYMPIA DUKAKIS , CLEAVON LITTLE and KRISTOFFER TABORI . Directed by PETER YATES

During the 60's-70's, certain striking poster images such as this (including Rosemary's Baby , Frogs, Putney Swope and others) were reproduced for sale, mostly in record stores and "head" shops. This one carries the 20th CENTURY-FOX PICTURES '69 copyright and was manufactured by POSTER PRINTS , under limited liscense.

The accompanying photo shows this actual item. There may be clips visible in the photos, variously at the four corners and the top and/or bottom center edges. These are not a flaw in or a part of this item
