Its just so much fun trying to figure out how to make things better. My husband and I have traveled a bit and we like to try new things. We often stumble across things that we REALLY like and I generally try to re-create them and then try to make them just a little bit better (sometimes A LOT better!). I always experiment on my family first and of course they almost always like the stuff I make. If I get a good report from the kids, Ill pack it up and take it to work for the next set of guinea pigs. If they like it, Im pretty sure I have something special. If I had a dime for every time someone told me Ill pay you to make me some of this! I wouldnt have to work my day job. What you see here is the result of all that.
This is the guts of the original 'Italian Butter' blend, but with some real heat. One day, when I get rich, Ill put it in a tube. The #1 ingredient is lots of minced fresh seranno pepper and red pepper flakes. Then I add fresh basil, a little rosemary, Greek oregano, sea salt, and garlic. This blend is guaranteed to moisten the brow. Just add olive oil, a hunk of bread and off you go.
This was originally designed to add to olive oil for a bread dipping sauce, hence Italian Butter. Now. you had to work late and all you have is a pound of ground beef for dinner. Brown it up, add a can of chopped tomatoes and a packet of this blend. Serve over toasted burger buns, Sloppy Joseppi's! Mario Batali will have nothing on you. You're kids will never be the same. But. dont just waste this on bread or ground beef. You can add this to your favorite marinara sauce, some sauteed seafood or into sour cream for a spicy chip dip. STUPID GOOD!
This will come to you in 1 each 1/2 oz packet

This stuff is to die for good! I HIGHLY recommend and give a huge thumbs up to Mama Meg!
