When you use our Grate Heat Exchanger in an open fireplace, you will realize a saving on your heating costs. With one of these you can extract a larger percentage of the heat wasted and going up your chimney.

Please allow for longer production times to build arched and custom sizes other than stock, "to your specifications" which can be built to fit within the firebox tolerances of your fireplace and complement its hearth and facade. Email pictures and thorough measurements for quote.
The best method of determining which size of grate heat exchanger to select is to use a cardboard box that fills your fireplace appropriately and take its measurements, then select or specify a grate that will fit within the dimensions of that cardboard box.

Removable Ash Tray; This makes cleanup a snap. The removable ash tray also serves to significantly extend the life of your Thermal Reclamation Unit by keeping the hot coals away from direct contact with the exchanger tubes while still conducting the heat of the embers into the tubes below. The sheet metal ash trays hold the ash in a tidy container that is easy to remove, dump, and clean which makes ash cleanup a snap.


Variable speed fan control; this allows you to adjust the heat output and ambient noise level for the perfect ambiance.


Integral spark arrestor screen; available in kink free flowing chain maile.
