Big Chile Gigantic yields of green chilies in the mild Anaheim or California Chile class, but so much bigger! Huge, 8 to 10"", 4 oz. fruits with thick flesh and low pungency (about as hot as the new mild Jalapenos) taste delicious roasted, broiled and diced. Compact plants are widely adapted, bearing early fruits that are mostly used green but mature red.
As my cost for some of the newer pepper seeds has really gone up, some of the more expensive varieties will contain only 25 seeds. Many of the old standards or varieties that I save myself will have 40 or more seeds. I usually try to be quite generous in filling the packs.
Get your seeds EARLY. Peppers need to be started 6 - 8 weeks before you want to plant them out. Peppers can be slow to germinate and need bottom heat if possible. Also some are very slow growing for the first few weeks.
DO save many pepper varieties myself. Whether purchased or my own, this is the same seed that I use for my market garden business. I grow about 150 varieties, but only offer what I have lots of and looks up to reasonable germination standards. All my varieties have some specific great trait or 2 that makes them good varieties to grow. We also sell plants at the farmers markets here and later plant out everything. We grow and save the hotter peppers for the hot sauce we make.
Most people don't realize that peppers are really tender perennials that can make nice house plants. E-mail me for more info on growing peppers as house plants.
While I don't have a rating here, I have sold at eBay for 5+ years and have a FB over 600 with a 99+% positive. I am knappschiles on several sites and sell the same things at all.
To encourage purchases from sites other than the big E, I'm offering a 5% discount on orders totaling $10.00 or more. That is possible because these other sites have less or no fees. Seed collections are not included as they are already discounted and have free S&H. I will also combine S&H on any order. So please check out my other listings to see what else you might like.
I ship primarily to USA and Canada. I have sent some seeds to UK and Australia. If you know there is no problem importing "seeds" to your country, I will send them at your risk of losing them at customs.
I do NOT have the ability to get a "phytosanitary certificate" if your country requires it. Email me for S&H cost.
