A marvelous small volume of The Alhambra by Washington Irving with lavish black and white illustrations by Joseph Pennell. This is a 1908 edition from MacMillan and Company, pocket classics edition of the 1896 book. The book is bound in red leather with gold imprint on front cover and spine. The book has 436 pages probably half of them are illustrations or half illustrated.
The condition is good. The pages are quite clean, as the paper is very high quality. They have turned an even light tan. Almost looks natural. The major damage is on the spine where the leather has deteriorated at the hinges on the front and back of the upper spine and on the front lower. A previous owner's name is written inside the front cover.
