This is for the program from the 13th Annual West Coast Relays which took place May 13, 1939 at the Fresno State College Stadium. Program is packed with detailed listings and participants of each event, and interestingly, all winners' names (or where appropriate, which school won) are handwritten in with pencil. It's not just winners, though, as whoever did this also documented 2nd, 3rd and 4th place winners, along with additional details such as winning time, distance (in the case of events such as Broad Jump and Javelin Throw), height (in the case of events such as Pole Vault), etc. There are some additional notes scattered about as well. Only a few of these written entries have faded over time - although they may still be able to be discerned. In this year, there is a one page dedication to Coach Amos Alonzo Stagg, football coach at College of the Pacific, but also promoted the NCAA and refereed NCAA meets. Prior to the College of the Pacific, he had coached for 40 years at the University of Chicago, and this program features a nearly full page black and white photo of him!

Book has corner creasing to corners on front and back cover, the largest of these being in the upper right corner of the front cover. Some dirt and slight rubbing to covers. Edgewear overall. Staples show some rust. Program does not lay perfectly flat, but has some warping and slight upward bowing overall.
