Salvia greggii 'Summer Peach'/Salvia greggii 'Tangerine'
If you are into Autumn Sages, you know that these are very addicting with many varieties and colors to choose from. So collectors, check out this rarely available Salvia greggii 'Summer Peach' (sometimes also sold by some nurseries as 'Tangerine') if you don't already own it. Like all the other Autumn Sages, it is a dwarf, evergreen ornamental landscape shrub that blooms almost non-stop. The two-lipped, trumpet-shaped deep peach-colored cuties are simply adorable, such a wonderful color not usually found in Salvias but more often in the Agastaches. A small patch of pale yellow in the center of the lower lip adds a great level of contrast. Leaves are opposite, small, narrowly oblong and bear the same pleasant, spicy scent. Hardy from zone 7 onwards. 2 feet tall and wide. Full sun, and any well-drained garden soils. Drought tolerant when established, can take extreme sun and heat.
