Salvia koyamae
This hardy but deciduous perennial is a Japanese native not often seen in the US. One of the very few Salvia that bears soft creamy-yellow flowers in late summer, with the added plus of being shade tolerant as well. Large, hairy, triangular-shaped leaves that makes a bold, spectacular effect in the garden even when not in bloom. Hardy from zone 6 onwards. 2 feet tall and wide. Part shade to full shade. Rich, well-drained soil.
