If you enjoy garbanzo beans, hummus or other treat made from garbanzo beans, try Kabouli. The first time we grew them we really had no idea what to expect. They're ideally planted when the temperatures are cold however, we grew them in the summer, forgot about them and was suprised to find them alive, well, bushy and producing pods. Their fern-like leaves are very ornamental and although they are obvious for the vegetable garden, they would be just as interesting in the ornamental bed where the folliage and the flowers can be admired. Plants grow to about 2 feet tall and produce beans within about 115 days. The bean pods produce an abundance of pods which contain 2 beans. Plan to harvest regularly to keep the plant producing beans.

Starter plants are shipped in 2 inch peat pots which should be removed prior to planting and are about an inch in height.

Plants are shipped via Priority Mail Monday - Wednesday for all states except California. Shipping for California takes place Monday - Thursday.

If you order on Wednesday-Sunday, your package is not shipped until the following week.

You will receive a shipping confirmation once your plants have shipped. Please check your email including your junk mail folder in the event the message was filtered out of your inbox.

{ SHIPPING COSTS }
Every effort is made to help you save on shipping costs so we typically do not ship small plants individually. Your cost to ship is the same whether there is one plant start in a box or 4. It's the same with shipping seeds; regardless of quanity, seeds ship for the one low price of $2.95.

Are you ordering multiple plant starts? Please let me know in advance as I will do my best to help you save on shipping costs by combining the entire order to determine the cost of shipping versus you having to pay multiple shipping fees for each item. A reservation listing will be placed specifically for you with the items being ordered at the combined shipping cost. It's a bit of extra effort but well worth it we can reduce your shipping fees.
