The chamber or pearly nautilus has a small coiled shell that can grow to 10" in diameter and consists of 36 chambers. The nautilus lives in the last of the chambers. The chambers are connected by a tube that absorbs gases allowing the shell to act as a float.
The nautilus shell is one of the most unique, beautiful shells and very popular with collectors of seashells!
Each shell is approximately 6-7" at its widest point.
