Ninety Years The Story of William Parmer Fuller by January, et al, c.1939, copy #1166 (number stamped in ink on rear blank endpaper), 7x10.5, 147 pgs, hardbound, privately printed at the Grabhorn Press, San Francisco, CA. A well-written and interesting account of the life of Fuller and the paint company he founded. Provides vivid details of the journey around the Horn on the sailing vessel Taranto as well as life in 19th century California. Follows the evolution of the WP Fuller Co including such details as the effect the Civil War had on California businesses and the numerous floods, fires and other disasters that he coped with. This copy is signed and dated on the front free endpaper (I believe the signature is WP Fuller Jr, one of the contributors to this volume). A welcome addition to the collector of Californiana.
Condition: Good condition with moderate wear/soil to blue paper covered boards, tanning to endpapers and occasional margin smudges.
