Pitcher Black White Cat Takahashi San Francisco Vintage
This ceramic black and white cat pitcher is 9 inches tall. The pitcher was made for Takahashi, a San Francisco importer/distributor similar to Otagiri (OMC). Items were made in Japan and the Orient, imported, and were sold in upscale department stores. Takahashi's business began pre WWII The Takahashi Made in Japan label is on the bottom of the pitcher. In the 1950s Takashi Trading Company was established to import handcrafted items and childern's toys. Takahashi has been business for 63 years. Kitty cat is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks, but does have some bottom wear as would be expected of a vintage item.
