Antique cutlery, carving set. 19th century, 1800s... Wooden handles... silver metal end caps & bands... cast iron two tined fork & knife blade... Knife measures: 11 & 1/4 in. long... Handle is 4 & 3/8 in. long... issues: note: handle shaft is OUT from wooden handle., a 1/4 in. 'gap'... Will need to be pulled out & reset, or, fill in gap... blade is sharp, as is point (not for children)... end cap metal is unmarked, but, is silver in color & soft enough that it acquired age related dings, etc... one area near end cap has a burn area, looks like a recessed knot, but, is a burn, like it sat on a hot stove... Fork is 9 & 3/4 in. long... tines are 3 & 5/8 in. long, starting at base of Y... the gap between tines & handle is only a fraction, here... the cap on the fork also has fine dings... both caps have a single pin holding them... nice early set w/ a great look...
