This is a Japanese Traditional Cotton Towel, Tenugui.
It is made in Japan!
It prints the Japanese lion dance, "shishimai" in Japanese.
Shishimai is a ritual dance by a performer wearing a lion's mask to pray
for the productiveness of grain, to protect from sickness, and to expel evil.

It is great to use this tenugui as a towel!
You can use this tenugui as a wrapping cloth, a scarf, a luncheon mat or a tapestry!

A few weft threads might come apart while in use.

* Please wash this tenugui gently and separately until it doesn't discolor.
