Hosta 'Gypsy Rose' - live plant division
Hosta Cultivar: 'Gypsy Rose'
Size at Maturity: medium (24" to 36" wide)
Description: White centers with narrow dark green margins edged in thin white line. Lavender flowers.
Age of division: 1st year division - 1-2 eyes
Notes: Center starts out green (as in 2nd picture), then yellow, then white as season progresses. Coloring depends on amount of sun.
All the hostas I sell are field grown and healthy plants with 1 to 4 eyes and substantial root systems. Some are dug just prior to shipping and some are currently in quart or half-gallon pots. In all cases, I remove the soil for shipping and pack the roots in moist newspaper with water-retaining polymer crystals. Hostas travel well with this method.
The price is based on the age and size of the root system relative to the plant's maturity. (i.e. a 3-yr old small hosta plant may have a smaller root system than a 1-yr old large plant, but it will cost more because it is further along in its development. Similarly, a two-eye freshly dug division will cost more than a single-eye freshly dug division of the same plant).
Shipping charges are for a single plant. SEE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SHIPPING DISCOUNTS FOR MULTIPLE PLANTS IN THE SAME ORDER!!! See FAQ for horticultural information.
Contact me if you have any special requests for large divisions with additional eyes. Special requests can easily be accommodated for plants that are still in the ground. I have many more hostas that are not yet listed.
