Vintage woven sewing basket with cushion and old pin cushion

#1014 (we individually take pictures of our pieces & number them) Just a PRECIOUS old sewing basket! The weave is broken in places on the handle (pictured) and in a few places on the basket....however it's mostly wonderfully intact! Look at the beautiful blue cushion on the underside of the lid! It still has some pins & such stuck into it. Notice the little skirting on the inside is cut out down at the bottom. I'm not sure if this was on purpose or not(?). Wonderful lacework outlines the interior of the lid & top of the interior basket!

The pincushion you see below was IN this basket when we acquired it & so we're including it with the buy. It looks to be some sort of oriental style. There's a split on the underside of the pin cushion however it's held FIRMLY in place & will not proceed.

The basket measures 5 3/4" Tall, 11" long & 8" wide.


The pincushion is 4 3/4" wide & 2 1/4" tall.
