Country Home Magazine was launched in 1979 by the publishers of Better Homes & Gardens and became the premier magazine of country style, reaching a devoted readership of more than 7.5 million before it closed in 2009. The magazine captured the desire for a casual, comfortable, simpler lifestyle rooted in tradition and explored the topic from every angle: design and decorating, antiques and collectibles, fine handcraft, gardening, celebrations, travel, historic preservation, and cooking. Each issue is packed with well-written articles complemented by exquisite photography and presented in attractive layouts.
The April 1995 issue features articles on a traditional barn sign painter in Ohio, collecting pocket watches, country kitchens, travel by train and boat, the early days of radio, Old West style in a California guest house, building a new Southern plantation house from antique parts, eclectic country style in a Michigan home, a hooked rug maker, dried flower bouquets, vintage aprons, and delicious breakfast dishes from bed-and-breakfast inns.
Excellent condition overall. Light shelf wear, light spine and edge bumps, inside excellent.
