These small chairs were frequently constructed for children by a parent or grandparent out of wood scrap. Surprisingly enduring they were carefully treated by the children and still remain a treasured childhood remembrance today, especially for doll collectors. This example is from the WWII period, around 1945, and displays well in a cabinet. There is wear to the bottom of the rockers, rust on the construction nails and wear to the crestrail where the item has been used. This is the ORIGINAL paint.
