Primitive Romanian FLAX PLANT Shredder BRUSH TOOL Unusual 0162
Primitive flax tool Item #0162. We've sold these from time to time when we can find them. One of our dealers carries many Romanian primitives and antiques. It's an OLD Romanian "Flax Plant Comb" from what I've been told. Apparently it's what they used to shred Flax plants info Fiber. SUPER Primitive piece!
It consists of Twenty Seven heavy and LONG nails embedded into the wood to form the "head" of the brush. The handle is crudely carved and the person who carved it carved designs onto the inner part of the wood.
NO two of these are ever exactly alike. Which is what makes them very interesting display conversation pieces. Our dealer only had THREE of these left so we bought them all. The one you see is the EXACT one you will receive.
It measures 24" LONG, 5" WIDE and the nails stick up 4 3/4" tall!
