Unusual shape of rounded square bowl is hand painted Antique Japanese Bowl in ZEN style. Stamp incised Nippon underneath, probably dates to pre- 1921. Red and Yellow fruits with green leaves on brown branch. Black rim. Background is grey with very fine--probably intentional-- crazing. Crazing is considered desirable in Oriental pottery. Some glazes are designed to craze. Condition: there are a couple of chips and touched up areas on black edge, see all photos. Priced accordingly, for this rare style. Sold as-is. Still a very nice unusual piece for display. 8-1/2 inches corner to corner and 3 inches high.[!year :1919!]
