Celluloid plastic box with insert classic Art Deco vintage hc1690
An aqua molded plastic vanity or travel box with classic early Deco motif. This is possibly made of celluloid. It is old enough and the plastic is a lightweight material.
I'm not sure what this box was intended for. The insert has little posts that are hollow on the underside and a knob handle in the center. It fits perfectly in the box almost like a press. If you have any idea what this is for I'd like to hear from you.
The condition is very good vintage. Some minor scratches and one may be a crack in the base. I can't tell without creating a crack if it isn't one. A very excellent appearance and would display well in your deco bedroom or bath. The box is 3 x 6½ inches.
