If you remember the "old strip" downtown Las Vegas these two cups will inspire memories! They detail the strip back then, with the Golden Nugget and Horseshoe Casino in particular.
A set of two, very unique pottery mugs are a faux wood grain very detailed with the knots and grain incised into the pottery and glazed a medium wood brown. Handles are beautiful, like "carved wood" and also very detailed.
The front of each mug has the old strip and hotels including the Golden Nugget sign, as well as the Horseshoe casinos. You can even see the "cowboy waving" at the end of the street. The buildings are also dimensional and very detailed. The entire scene is "framed" and painted a pretty silver gray color. The scene says "Las Vegas" along the top, and "Nevada" across the bottom.
One of the cups has a sticker with only "Japan" in red print, possibly pre-1960s.
