Other Info: There's a personal note written and then signed by Patsy Montana on the front cover. This is another one of her harder to come by records. It was made in Holland in 1978. There's a bunch of info on the back cover telling all about Patsy Montana, as well as how this record came about being made. She recorded quite a few records in other countries, many in Germany. I've been told they are the harder ones to come by. If you love Ms Montana, please stay tuned, I have many of you records to still list, many of her Rarer ones, all signed!
Year: N/A
Condition: The record is in near mint, excellent, never been played condition. The cover has some wear but still looks pretty good. This belonged to a neighbor who collected many of Patsy Montana's records and had her sign all of them. I will be listing them as well as many other great records, many of them are signed. Overall, it looks like a really nice record that any collector would be happy to have & add to their collection!
NOTE: Here's some more info I found about Patsy Montana and this particular photograph that's on the album cover.
PATSY MONTANA: Country singer Patsy Montana made her film debut with Autry and Storey in the 1939 Republic Western, Colorado Sky. The film, which also starred Autry's comic sidekick, Smiley Burnette, and Buster Crabbe, also featured the CBS-KMBC Texas Rangers. The group, along with Autry, Burnette and Montana, sang a number of songs in the film, including the title song, "Poor Little Doggies" and "I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart" (Montana's signature song). Patsy Montana (1914-1996), born Ruby Blevins, was the first woman country singer to have a million-selling single, "I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart" (1935). A star on Gene Autry's National Barn Dance radio program for many years, Montana, who also yodeled and played organ, guitar and violin, had a number of hits, including "Radio Sweetheart", "Montana Plains" and "I Want to Be a Cowboy's Dream". After making her film debut in 1939's Colorado Sunset, she appeared in numerous Western films in the 1940s
NOTE: I have many more vintage records, (in very good condition) from WWII and up to the 70's & 80's. I have 45's, 78's and 33's (LP's) from a big variety of styles/types of music. I plan on listing as many as I can in the next 2 weeks (as time allows) so please, check back to see if I have anything you're looking for!
