In the early 1970's my father spent a lot of time in Brazil. One of the things he brought home was this sterling silver charm necklace. It has a 25" chain, an interesting charm pendant with places for hanging 5 charms, and 4 charms.
The four charms are a Carmen Miranda-esque woman, a fist, a pineapple, and a little Christ the Redeemer statue. The fist has small characters around the cuff: the number 13, a four leaf clover, a horseshoe, and a flower. The charms all measure about 1 1/4" long.
The charm pendant itself is very unusual with an interesting and elaborate design done with very nice workmanship.
Included is the original bag from the store, Thompson Jewellers, Av. Copacabana, 371-A, Rio di Janeiro, Brasil. I can find no markings on the charms. The weight without the necklace is a little over 1 ounce (approximately 30 grams).
