(Courtesy of Google) As many of you know, I specialize in finding old reporting pictures and stories of long ago that have been overlooked, seldom found and rarely read. Here is a story entitled "A POET PURSUED BY HONORS" as published and saved from this old American magazine in 1914. A tribute to Frederick Mistral upon his death on March25, 1914. "Although he wrote poetry in what was virtually a dead language, he lived to see statutes erected in his honor, his letters treasured in a museum and his pictures scattered broadcast over France on the illustrated post cards......He was the custodian of Provence's wonderful heritage of the past. His country, his people, his language, his literature were his life......" Great reading. The pages are 8 1/2 by 11 5/8 inches -- in great condition. Some of you might have this great story for framing or placing in your scrapbook.. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL PIECE 89 YEARS OLD. Please check our feedback because this is the real pleasure I receive from finding a piece I like, buy it, read it, research it, take a picture, scan it, write the blurb, pay the eCRATER entry fee and commission, that I end up making about 50 cents an hours but OH HOW I LOVE THIS OLD ORIGINAL REPORTING HISTORY. Buyer pays postage of $3.50 First Class Postage. WE MAIL INTERNATIONAL AT $13.25. (U.S. Dollars only). Texans must pay applicable sales tax. Thanks for reading, Tom.
