Monkey Book End Vintage Signed Made in Japan Ceramic
Very unique monkey figure bookend from Japan. There are a few paint scrapes on him, one on upper lip, another on right arm, a few others on corners of base and books. Most of the "shine" on the figure is light reflection from flash.
Figure stands 7 inches tall and sits on a 3 x 3 1/2" base. Colors are vivid. No breaks, crazing or cracks on this piece.
Instructions on bottom say to fill with sand and cover hole with tape. This would have made the piece more stable with the added weight.
Piece is finished in a semi-gloss glaze.
Shipping charge does include insurance costs.
