The Klimaire KSIB018 is the right sized air conditioner and heat pump for a 500 to 750 sq. ft. room. This is a DC inverter air conditioner, so it uses less electricity. Conventional air conditioners power up until a set temperature is reached, then shut off. This cycle repeats all day using a lot of unnecessary power. The KSIB018 unit powers up to a set temperature, then lowers the compressor speed to just counter the heat loss or heat gain of the room.

You use less power, save money, and your room is a constant temperature. Pretty cool, huh?

Your AC technician will love the simple installation. The indoor unit is hung like a picture frame approximately 6 - 8 feet above the floor usually on an exterior wall. A small 2-3 inch hole is made behind the indoor unit in the exterior wall to run the refrigerant copper tubing, electrical wires and the condensate drain to the outside unit. The indoor unit and outdoor unit are connected to each other by means of refrigerant copper tubing and electrical cables. Although the installation may seem easy to some, the installation of an HVAC system includes electrical, gas and refrigerant connections. The Klimaire KSIB018 must be installed by a certified HVAC technician for your safety and for a valid warranty.

SHIPPING

Shipping is usually around 7 business days. All of our units are bubble wrapped, palletized and shipped to your home or business via trucking line. This ensures the safe arrival and handling of your goods. The trucking line needs your phone number and street address (can’t ship to PO Boxes). We’ll send the tracking number as soon as we get it.

DELIVERY

Your shipment will be insured with the freight company against any loss or damage without additional cost to you. Damage or loss is rare but it can happen during transportation. Please make sure you inspect your equipment before you sign for it. Please do not accept, or take possession of, any unit with significant dent and damage, and write down any damage on the trucker’s bill of lading.

If you are unsure that there is damage to any of the wrapped equipment, open it up and inspect it before you sign and accept possession. If only one of your items is damaged then refuse delivery for only the item that is damaged. We will be notified immediately by the freight company and we will send you a replacement item, usually within two business days.

If there is damage to an item and you sign the freight delivery document that states the equipment has been received without any damages, we have no recourse against the freight company, and thus can’t refund your payment based on damage. So, please take the extra time to inspect your shipment completely when it arrives and make note of any damage on the bill of lading and document everything, regardless of how large or small it may seem.

Please remember that if your unit is damaged by the freight company, refuse delivery of the damaged item or pallet! We also encourage you to contact us immediately so we can assist you (support@bonterracompanies.com ~ 512-560-1147).

RETURNS

Klimaire gladly accept returns as long as they meet the following criteria.

* Goods must be returned in the original sealed and non damaged box in which they were shipped.

* The buyer must securely pack the merchandise the same way they originally received it.

* The buyer must return the goods within 14 days.

* The buyer will pay a 25% restocking fee.

* The funds returned will exclude the original shipping and handling fees.

*The buyer must pay shipping back to the manufacturer’s warehouse were they will then inspect the goods and determine that the buyer has completed all of the return requirements as stated above.

*A Return Materials Authorization (RMA) must be obtained before returning any items. The factory will not accept returned merchandise without an RMA. We will assist you in getting an RMA.

GENUINE WARRANTY

We are an authorized Klimaire dealer and your air conditioner is fully covered by Klimaire’s one year warranty on parts, and a five year warranty on the compressor. Owners are responsible for any shipping and labor charges. To obtain warranty service, please contact your local Klimaire dealer or the installing contractor. They know how to repair your unit and obtain free replacement parts.
