Turbocharger rebuild kit for 2005 and later Ford 6.0 Powerstroke Diesel engines. The turbocharger used in these model years was the Garrett GT3782VA. Will not fit most 6.0 Powerstokes with build date before 11/4/2004 (engine serial # 6,155,638 - 6,344,942 and E Van up to S/N 151,888). There were two different Garrett turbochargers used in Ford 6.0 Powerstrokes – the Garrett GT3571VA for most early 6.0’s and the Garrett GT3782V for late 6.0 Powerstrokes. Overall, the majority of 6.0 Powerstrokes used the late style GT3782V turbo. One way to determine if you have the later type turbo is to count the blades on the compressor wheel. If there are 14blades (7 long and 7 short) you likely have the GT3782V and this kit will fit your turbo. If you have your turbo disassembled you can measure the ID of the journal bearings. If the ID is approximately 11.55mm you have the later style turbo. If you have the p/n of your turbo you can send it to me and I will let you know if you have the early or late type turbocharger. This kit will also fit other variations of the Garrett GT-37 turbo. Both long and short style journal bearings are included.
