This is an alloy case military Helvetia Swiss made pocket watch circa 1941.
The back of the watch has been marked with the following:
and the British war department arrow.
The watch measures around 52 mm in diameter and 65 mm to the top of the winding button.
The face of the watch is white with black numbers with the exception of 12 and 3 and 9 which are a golden colour.
The hour and minute hands are a tempered blue colour with a golden coloured pattern in the centre.
The second hand is a tempered blue colour and the seconds have a separate dial at the bottom of the watch.
This watch has been used and survived the rigours of World War 2 but the glass face is in remarkably good condition with the usual small but almost invisible scratches. The watch is going well and keeping good time and has a quiet but reassuring tick. We have not serviced this watch and suggest the new owner gets this done.
