sold rl 3/7 Vintage 70s Vanity Fair and absolutely incredible! Simple with no frills or lace, yet feminine, a bit demure yet flirty and the most fabulous silky nylon print!
The denier as expected of the brand is fabulous. Silky and heavenly. The print reminds me of "leaves of grass" but its actually brush strokes of color. Shades of blue from the most pastel sky blue to a hint of navy as the colors top each other. A beautiful shade of aqua / blue green compliments it all against a white background.
No lace or frills, the focus on the fabric print, the nightgown has a rolled nylon trimmed scoop neck and is sleeveless. Soft gathers from the neckline give the bust fullness and a touch of peasant styling. The gathers end at a wide panel from the empire waist to the natural waistline, the panel actually curves under the bodice for a perfect fitted look.
More gathers at the waist give the skirt to the gown a beautiful fullness as it flows to the floor, long an in a perfect A line flow.
The matching peignoir robe is in the same print and has a vee neckline, allowing the nightgown to peek through. At the waist is tunneled rolled nylon tie that can be drawn to fit you perfectly and accent your waist.
From the empire waist tie, the robe has fabric covered buttons to close it.
Sleeves are just little cap - flutter sleeves to cover just the top of your arms.
A truly wonderful set without a lot of fuss or frills.. just simply beautiful.
