This is a vintage, tin Christmas plate designed by Queenie Franklin, also known as Grandma Franklin or Queen D. Franklin, a famous American primitive painter. It was produced by Arlington Art Co. in 1975. It has a pretty teal blue border and the center image is Santa on a sled with his team of reindeer, crossing a bridge over a stream, to a farmhouse. Snow covered mountains and a pretty colored sky are in the background. The back of the plate gives the story of Queenie Franklin and this painting. The original painting of this was presented to President Gerald Ford. It is 10" in diameter, pre-owned and in very good condition. I see a couple of very tiny finish scratches along the edge and the bottom rim, not bad at all. Box is not available for this item.
