Offered for your private collection is this magnificent antique Art Nouveau majolica plate.
Made by Isador Faist who built the Schramberg majolica factory, this makers mark dates this plate to have been made between 1850-1875.
This beautiful plate features a large chestnut leaf in greens and turquoise with pink flowers on a dynamic turquoise woven background.
This is a very dramatic majolica plate with striking colors! You will really enjoy the fine workmanship this antique has to offer!
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. It does have stilt marks from the kiln, a few glaze flakes mainly on the back and some roughness to the rim which is normal and to be expected for antique majolica.
It measures almost 8 inches in diameter, the perfect size for display.
